Suzetrigine, sold under the brand name Journavx, is a medication used for pain management.
It is a small-molecule non-opioid analgesic that works as a selective inhibitor of Nav1.8-dependent pain-signaling pathways in the peripheral nervous system.
Suzetrigine is not addictive and is taken by mouth.
It's first-in-class non-opioid analgesic, to treat moderate to severe acute pain in adults.
Journavx reduces pain by targeting a pain-signaling pathway involving sodium channels in the peripheral nervous system, before pain signals reach the brain.
